I was just trying to sort a file consisting of 1057 one-line entries, and
get the following message:
Record exceeds the 32K sort limit. Select a smaller portion to sort.
I am trying to sort this on the "First word in a paragraph." This is
the
first time I've ever run into this limit. Is there a way around this?
Sorting a series of subsets will not really do, since the entire file is an
index to something. How do I know how much I can select before I hit the
ceiling?
