Is there a way to have PR12 automatically re-size a JPG upon insertion?
Say I have a digital photo at 3072 X 2304 pixels, and want it on a
letter size drawing. When I try this in PR12, it brings the JPG in
vertically squashed and mirrored?

It could be that Pres just doesn't like that particular format of jpg.
Try opening the file in Irfanview and then copy and paste from there.
