Ron,

Even in newer versions this hasn't been fixed. I believe the folks at 
MacroMonster.com have a free macro that will fix the problem, though I doubt 
it will work for Photo-Paint 8.

Can I change the setup PhotoPaint 8 so that when I click on a file to view 
and possibly edit it opens in an instance of PP8 which is already open 
instead of opening a new instance for every file I want to view?

Gabor,

I don't know, because that is never how I would edit images. But it is a 
frequent complaint in the PHOTO-PAINT newsgroups.

I can't comment on version 8 but it sure doesn't happen in 12. No
matter how many pictures I press enter on, they all open in the
already running instance all right.
