Try editing in the Copy Editor mode. This is often the way to do things 
when your complicated page layout causes difficulty. There may be 
specific reasons for the crashing which would take some investigation, 
but this is a work-around which usually works for me.

I've have had a skim through the FAQ and might have missed it but did not 
spot advice on this problem.

I'm running 10.397 (is that the most uptodate?) on Xp Prof.

When near the top or bottom of a Chapter division, if you add, or more often 
delete a paragraph, V10 crashes.

I try to do this indirectly by incrementally moving wanted text out to a new 
paragraph and running the paragraph down to nothing but that does not always 
work with out crashing either.

Any work around or suggestions would be welcome please - or even better has 
Corel got a  fix for that?
