How does IBM DB2 compare with Oracle Database?

I am looking to find what is overall result of comparsion between Oracle
Database and DB2, specially with new release of Oracle Database 11g.

Indeed we have option to select one of oracle or DB2 as backend of a very big
system in our company, I have little experience with both of this products and
now i am looking to find which one is more outstanding when it come to big
deployemnt.
Then i can put my time to become more experienced and knowledge-full for that
database.

biggest area of concern are scalability, compatibility with storages(does it
matter? what kind of storage devices can be used for each of these data bases),
XML support, administration facilities, price.
 
If you could give me hint about the above i will be very thankful. Or if you
could lead me to a document that support your claim (10gR2 or 11g comparsion
with 9.1)


btw, Is there any beta version of new DB2 release?
