There is a book we just found on Amazon.com entitled: Mastering System Data
Protection Manager 2007. ISBN-10 0470181524. It is the only thing other
than what I have gleened from the Internet that seems to address the subject.
It says it is 482 pages and it's about 37 dollars. I'm hoping that there is
something worth while in it. I agree with you, documentation is more scarce
than a truthful politician.

Can anyone point me in the direction of best practise guidelines for
DPM2007? For such a capable product, documentation seems really poor. The
problems we had protecting MOSS2007 could have been solved by a step-by-step
guide, but one doesn't exist, and we had to cobble together information from
other sources and a process of trial and error.
I want to make sure that the DPM design is optimal and as efficient as
possible.

In addition, we are planning to work on a Best Practice Analyzer. Currently
it is in planning phase, and will update when things are finalized.
