| Remove Tape (I/E port) fails |
 |

We have an IBM 3576 Tape Library with 2 LTO3 drives (using the ltstape.sys
driver from Microsoft) and want to export tapes to the I/E ports of the Tape
Library.
When I select the tapes to be removed from the library (ready for offsite
tapes) the system reports 'Prepairing to remove tape from IBM TotalStorage
3576 Modular Tape Library' for quite a long time and eventually the task
failes with the following error:
Tape Library IBM TotalStorage 3576 Modular Tape Library could not be
contacted. All jobs for Tape Library IBM TotalStorage 3576 Modular Tape
Library will fail if the connection is not established. The attempted contact
failed for the following reason:
(ID: 3301)
Strange error because all other operations such as adding tapes, backupping
and restoring works just fine. We just can't get tapes out of the library
because of this issue. Is there a solution/work around for this?
Thanks four your help,
