Invalid characters in ClientDataSet XMLData

The TClientDataset.XMLData saves invalid characters that cannot be passed in 
XML.
Is anybody aware of any components or code that will substitute these 
invalid characters with valid ones?

I am not familiar with the ClientDataset component (it's a component from
the DB group) but we have several routines that allow one to encode data for
XML. The SOAP runtime makes use of these routines.  If somehow the code to
ClientDataset is available and you can rebuild it, I can point you to the
routines use by the SOAP runtime.
