I've been charged with making one of our products currently written in
Delphi 6 (accessing Paradox and Firebird databases) to be compatible
with Vista. I've looked around the CodeGear website on advantages of
upgrading to Delphi 2007 to help the with this project. I need some
proof that upgrading will be an advantage to me and this task.
Thought maybe I'd ask a couple of questions.
- What other Vista specific enhancements are there besides visual ones
(glassing, dialogs)?
- Does Delphi 2007 help working with manifests for Vista other than
RES/RC files?
- Does anyone have any advice on how I can nudge the powers that be to
invest in an upgrade?
