Argument builder in 3.0 M3 RC4 and 3.0 M3

Argument builder in 3.0 M3 RC4 and 3.0 M3
Thu, 03 Apr 2008 07:46:02 GMT
I have a rule I want to modify in the argument builder.

Code:
--------------------
    <rule notrace="true">
  <description>Generate uniqueID #1</description>
  <conditions>
  <and/>
  </conditions>
  <actions>
  <do-set-local-variable name="var-UserID"
scope="policy">
  <arg-string>
  <token-unique-name counter-pad="false"
counter-pattern="last" counter-use="never"
name="CN" on-unavailable="ignore">
  <arg-string>
  <token-substring length="1">
  <token-local-variable name="var-SN"/>
  </token-substring>
  <token-local-variable name="var-SN2"/>
  <token-substring length="1">
  <token-local-variable name="var-GN"/>
  </token-substring>
  <token-local-variable name="var-GN2"/>
  </arg-string>
  </token-unique-name>
  </arg-string>
  </do-set-local-variable>
  </actions>
  </rule>
--------------------

I open the rule in the argument builder until I see the expression, I
want to add the uppercase verb, after moving it to the top and trying
to move the other arguments to be children of the uppercase verb I get
Unhandled event loop exceptions in the log.

Are you doing this on Windows or Linux? I tried, but I can't reproduce
this with 3.0 M3 Rc4 running on OpenSuSE 10.2 using Gnome here.

I haven't seen this error. Can you provide detailed steps? Thanks.

Sure, I've recorded a WebEx video of me reproducing the problem and
uploaded it to ftp.novell.com/incoming
It's named designer3m3token.wrf, you'll need WebEx Player to play it.
