| Import from Live : Unable to initialize JClient |

Hi,
When I try to imnport from the tree to the designer I get the
following error:
Authentication failed: Unable to initialize JClient: java.lang.Error:
Unable to initialize DClient.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the client and Designer (different
versions). This did not help.
Running configuration:
Designer for Novell Identity Manager
Version: 3.0.0 M3
Build id: 20080404
Windows XP
Novell Client 4.91 SP4 for Windows
NICI 2.7.3

I seem to recall Geoffrey having a problem like this. You might try
removing an reinstalling NICI, then reinstalling Designer. I think
that's what he had to do to fix his.

Thanks David, ya, I was seeing this after I installed iManager mobile
2.7 which required a NICI update.
I never did really get it resolved. I now boot to windows, since soon
after that event I destroyed GTK on my machine in a failed attempt to
get Evolution updated. Doh!
One day i will go back and try to fix my Linux side! I was hoping SDLED
10 SP2 would be out soon after Brainshare, which I suspect will
resolve a lot of my issues since it will have a big Gnome update. But
with a summer release it looks like I will have to bite the bullet and
try to fix it myself. Or move to OpenSuse 10.3. Not sure yet which way
I want to go.
