This makes me happy. Now all I need is a cable station that shows continual
orchestral and jazz performances from all around the world--kind of an MTV for

I’ve looked at the UK website, and like what I see. I’d be thrilled if
Deutsche Grammophon had a Napster-like subscription, but not Napster-like
selection. If you ever want the worst possible recording of any classical work,
it's there.

I used to use allofmp3.com, but I don’t really want to deprive parties of
legitimate compensation. Contrary to what a particular lurdan at RIAA may think,
not every iPod is the repository of stolen goods.

There used to be a station like that here on paytv (we had three core music
channels classicmax (clasical and jazz stuff) musicmax (hits regardless of age,
robbie williams etc) and channel V that shows new stuff. I think that classicmax
got cancelled though :(

Nice catalogue and all that, but looks like my pal Nick in Oxford is going to
have to create the account for me and he’s in Beijing or Crete.

I just don’t see any site that works from here without fancy stuff.

So I’m off to Twist and Shout.

I had a prompt e-mail from our friends in the UK. There are plans to expand.
