| IE 7 installs reach 100 million |

BetaNews is reporting that Internet Explorer 7 passed the 100-million installs
mark last week, making it the second most used web browser (the first is IE 6).
That seems like a huge accomplishment, given the relatively short time IE 7 has

But playing Devil's Advocate for a moment, why is this an accomplishment
when it's simply bits being pushed down by Windows Update, whether the user
wants it or not? (most people don't know how to NOT install a Windows
Update).
