GETTING STARTED WITH NEWER TECHNOLOGY WITH VISTA? A
QUESTION...

I JUST STARTED TO GET THE HANG OF THE VISTA HOME PREM. ON A HP PAV 6028 WITH
DUAL CORE. I AM STILL CONFUSED ABOUT ALOT THOUGH. I AM WONDERING IF I SHOULD BE
DOWNLOADING A MSN SERVER AS WELL AS MY OWN PERSON CABLE ISP? THERE IS SO MUCH
MORE TECHNOLOGY THAN I EVER THOUGHT WAS OUT THERE, AND I REALLY AM INTERESTED IN
GETTING INVOLVED WITHALOT MORE COOL AND INTERESTING STUFF! aS WELL AS MEETING
NEW PEOPLE AND HEARING WHAT THEY HAVE TO SAY ABOUT ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING???

I AM JUST NOT SURE WHERE TO START AS FAR AS DOING MORE WITH MY INTERNET CONNE
CTION, AND WHAT I SHOULD OR COULD BE DOWNLOADING OR USING TO HEIGHTEN MY
EXPERIENCE ON THE WEB, AND DISCOVERING NEW THINGS AND PEOPLE? IS THERE ANYONE
THAT MAY HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR ME. IT JUST SEEMS LIKE WITHOUT ANY OTHER TYPE
OF BACK UP SERVER, THAT THERE IS NOT A WHOLE LOT YOU CAN DO. I ONLY RECENTLY
DISCOVERED THE MUSIC AND VIDEOS, TV, AND RADIO YOU CAN CONNECT TO THAT IS SO
AMAZING. SO IF ANY ONE HAS SOME ADVICE FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ME OR POST A COMMENT -

The first idea is about newsgroups and forums. Use mixed case, not all upper 
case for messages. Mixed case is much easier to read. If you have a 
disability that makes changing case difficult, use all lower case. For a fun 
example of the difference, type one line in all upper case and one line in 
all lower case. Hide the lower halves of the lines and see which is easier 
to read. 

Then pick a very small topic, like a single song by a single artist, and see 
how much you can learn about it. You will run into all manner of technical 
challenges on that one quest.
