I have student 2007 installed on a machine with Vista Ultimate 64bit. Student
seems to be working fine but the problem I am experiencing is when I shut
down Vista. An application error message appears referring to “EDICT.EXE -
unknown Software Exception” which causes the system to hang and the machine
will only shut down after the application error message has been closed. Is
there anyone that might have any idea as to what is causing this problem? I
cannot find nor get any support from Microsoft and it seems mainly because I
(temporarily) reside in a foreign country within the European Community where
Microsoft does not want to offer English support and my products seem to be
