Hey all,
I am having a problem with my music on my dvd...I have a main menu that requries
a looping music that i converted into mp3 thru audition. I used my pickwhip to
get the music file from the project panel and clicked on the loop forever
button. However, when i render my file and preview it, the video buttons and all
work but the music is skipping and sounds like an old record player...I then
checked the file in audition and other programs and it works fine..any
suggestions or help?....thanks all

converted into mp3
Since that format does not work and is not supported for a DVD, it is no wonder
you have problems

Encore can (For some strange reason I completely fail to comprehend) import an
MP3 file.
This is a bad mistake IMHO.
Why?
Because MP3 is already
A - Heavily compacted, and
B - Usually the wrong sample rate.
This means you have thrown away 11/12 of the original data to produce a file at
the wrong sample rate. Additionally, to encode as a Dolby Digital file, Encore
must decode back to PCM (Where the data that was thrown away originally is not
recovered at all) and then throw away another 7/8 of what was left from the
original process. ANd sample rate convert at the same time.

Jim.
We may be missing something silly here.
What is your workflow please?
This is what works for us - perfectly.
1 - Create & Prepare the Audio clip as 16/48 WAV file.
2 - Create an MP3 from the main Audio clip to use in AFter Effects, as AE is a
sod for Audio Previewing, and MP3 will work most of the time to sync things up.
3 - Set up your Motion Menu Composition
4 - Render the Composition, but do NOT include Audio.
5 - Import into Encore the AVI file you got from AE, and the Audio file you
created earlier. Dump the MP3.
6 - Set up Motion Menu properties (Loop times etc)
