Hi all I have this problem, I'm trying to build a DVD with a 5.1 audio track.
1) Build the 5.1 audio track via AUDITION
2) Build video with PPRO and export via SURCODE plug-in I have now:
a) TEST.M2V as video file
b) TEST.AC3 as audio file
3) I build a ENCORE PROJECT with these 2 files, they don't need to be
transcoded, but when I hear the DVD it is stereo and not 5.1
Where is the problem ?

Alberto.
Where are you hearing the output in Stereo only? From the Encore Preview, or
from a burned/compiled disc in a set top player hooked up to a 5.1 system?
Also, are you absolutely certain that the settings are correct in Premiere?

A liitle bit in late....
Well I have build a 5.1 audio file using AUDITION and export as *.wma file (when
I hear it using Windows Media Player the effect is correct each channel works
fine, as I'm expecting)
When I insert the file in PPRO I have it as TRACK num x but there near the name
the is a little 5.1, this means that PPRO interpret the file as 5.1 audio file
(isn't it ?)
If I try to ear the file with PPRO it is a STEREO file and not a 5.1
The same when I try to build the DVD with files exported from PPRO through
SURECOE plug-in ( to export I use a buil-in configuratione for 5.1 HQ)

Alberto.
Do *not* export from Audition as a WMA file. This is massively compressed &
will get recompressed when encoding to Dolby Digital.
You should export the mix as either a 5.1 interleave (depending on file size) or
6 mono files.
Launch Premiere
Create a 5.1 Master Output buss - this is vitally important.
Create a 5.1 track in the timeline, and drop the Audio onto this.
Make sure your outputs are correctly mapped in Premiere - you must be using an
ASIO type audio interface.
