Is the file normalized correctly?
Please don't tell me that any form of "normalization" was used at
all!!
Such a bad idea.
Things to look for.
1 - Why the 448 bitrate? You're legal as far as it goes, but I would like to
know why.
2 - What Dolby Digital Encoder did you use - it wasn't Encore. Was it a properly
licensed one?
3 - What is the peak level of the original PCM file? Should *not* be more than
-6dB at the hottest (depending on destination)
4 - If the file was close to 0dBFS peak, was the RF overmodulation protection
set to ON or OFF?
5 - Where in the file is this click? Beginning? End? In the middle?
