Audio doesn't work

Audio doesn't work

After transcoding my audio it does not work. If I add audio and do not transcode
it everything is fine (even when I burn the dvd). Is this normal?

I wasn't aware it didn't need transcoding. The option to transcode the audio was
there so I assumed (I know, I know what you're thinking) it needed to be
transcoded. Things that don't need to be transcoded don't allow you the
option.... =(
Long story short this event showed me you didn't need to transcode audio, but I
wasn't sure why you would lose the audio 'if' you did transcode.

Transcoding from what to what?
Legal options for PAL & NTSC discs are either LPCM at 16 bit 48KHz, or Dolby
Digital.
If you transcode to MPEG audio, this is an optional format & most likely
will not be played in NTSC areas.

As with all products like this, simply clicking a few mouse buttons is not ever
going to produce good results. Successful DVD creation requires an understanding
of what you are doing, even with Abstraction Layer tools like Encore.

      Things that don't need to be transcoded don't allow you the option....
