| No audio device in Encore CS3 - PPro works fine...??? |

I can't get any audio out of Encore CS3 - when I go to
Edit/Preferences/Audio/Audio Output device it says "No Audio Device"
under the device name. But Premiere Pro CS3 works fine with the driver for my
sound hardware (via the ASIO driver for my RME Fireface 800). All other Windows
apps work fine with the audio, as well (e.g. Quicktime, WMP, etc.). I'm using
Win XP Pro w/ SP2.
How do I choose an audio output device in Encore?
Thanks,

You need the WMA drivers for the FireFace.

Hi Neil,
I think I have the WDM drivers - the set I'm using is the latest that I see on
the RME site (version 2.82 dated 12/6/07). When I check under the
"About" tab in the Fireface settings it says "Windows MME, WDM,
GSIF 2.0 and ASIO 2.0".
In Encore, all the inputs show up. But the only option under outputs is "No
Audio Device".
???
Thanks,

rgames.
That is very strange.
It all works on my HDSP 9652 - although that uses different drivers.
How is it all configured in the driver setup panel, please?
Also - are you on the latest firmware for the FireFace as well?
