| Do not store missing FM 9.0v3? |

I have a copy of Filemaker 9.0 Advanced, installed from CD as v1, just
upgraded to v3. I created a new database, and for field defined as an
auto-entered calculation, on the storage tab, I don't have the option
checkbox to "Do not store". I'm sure that was there on previous
versions. Am I missing something?

Not missing, but mixing ...
Create a calculation field and you will find the don't-store-option
