I have a popup window that works fine. I added a second popup window
on top of that, and FileMaker ask me if I'm sure I want to alter the
record every time I make a change in the second window...why is this
happening? And what can I co to stop this...I could have sworn I have
done this in the past with no problem...
One thing that I have found that might be an issue: if you are opening
the first popup from a portal, the related record request (and
subsequent new window) must be the first command, so there's no way to
tell it to get out of the current record...I'm not sure if this is the
problem. I tried it without this command (didn't take me to the
correct record though), and the same problem was happening in the
second popup, so maybe not the case.
Anyway, I'm on a Mac 10.5 with filemaker advanced 8.5
Thanks

Nevermind, I figured it out myself---it's a setting on the popup
layout itself

When you open the 2nd window, "committ records" or ... 2 windows
cannot edi
the same field.
