Oops, I'm using Adblock Plus.
The odd thing is that if I open that site with an "Open All in Tabs",
I get the pop-up window. If I only open that site by itself, I
don't.

While I'm not sure how to enter these, I did have ABP show blockable
items and it didn't see any of these - but the pop-up menu wasn't
visible.

That's what gets the most recommendations.

Maybe I need to be this pessimistic, but I'd like to have flash

Flashblock Options allow you to white list sites. (I use both
Flashblock and Adblock Plus because not all ads are Flash)

Hi Howard,
I'm using Adblock myself so this is what I have, though someone
using Adblock Plus instead, probably about the same.
I don't get any popup on the site upon entry, and haven't clicked
on anything. Filters actually used were
http://ad.doubleclick.net/*
*adsatt*
*adsonar*
I also have another that would block variations of doubleclick
*doubleclick*
Makes no difference to me if pop-up ads are blocked or not in
tools, options, content but I had them off, retested without
popup blocking, and then turned them off again for next time.
Also you want to right click on a pop-up to check the properties.
