This will be good news for some of our serious gamers.
Microsoft has opened the beta program for Halo 3 and is inviting gamers in North
America who have Xbox 360s (with hard drives and Xbox Live Gold) to be part of
the beta test. Here's the link to sign up.

Requires a Passport account, but was painless. Says Spring 2007 is when the beta
will start.

You may still make it if you buy a special marked copy of Crackdown :)
Is this Beta still just the US?
