| Problems with my Xbox 360 Power Supply |

I blogged about this and posted a video on Soapbox on problems with my Xbox 360
Power Supply. However, since then - they have turned off public access to
Soapbox for a few months and I'm not sure who can or cannot see the video. I've
decided to host the video here on The Hive for folks to see. If you have any
ideas on what the deal is - let me know. Essentially the "power brick"
is making a horrible high-pitched hum that won't go away. It appears the fans
are turning and I made sure there isn't any dust in there.

I don't think the power supply has any fans in it?
My advice? Call up microsoft support say you're concerned it's a fire hazard or
something

A friend of mine told me the "power brick" has fans and assuming since
it gets pretty hot - might be a safe assumption. I am planning to call Microsoft
Monday (tomorrow) regarding the matter. However since my support ran out in
February, I'm unsure if they will be able to help. I am hoping to get some
answers though.
Will post once I hear anything.

If you're in the US, call 1-800-4MY-XBOX and tell the Xbox Support folks what is
going on. Meanwhile, I wouldn't recommend using the unit until you can get the
problem resolved.

Things that switch power (eg transformers) often have a whine, so I don't know
