overcome this error and get the buld completed?

It appears there's a reference in there to a file that doesn't exist in
Plus. VDBExe.Res sounds like something VERY specific to Visual dBASE
(can't recall it). Try removing the reference to it in the project file.

Ken

The complete error message is "Error creating VDBEXE.RES (1435)"

Does the number 1435 mean anything?

Probably but I don't know what.

Try removing, as noted, any references to VDBEXE.RES from your project file.

It may require opening the .PRJ file in the source code editor.

I don't know where this is coming from, then ... sorry. Yes, it sounds
like resources, and if so, it should be using the .dll "Resource.dll"
if
you're only using the ones that come with dBASE.
