build Myprj.exe

build Myprj.exe
Wed, 09 Apr 2008 11:13:22 -040
I used dbase plus and XP-SP1 with success.
Now, I use dbase plus with Vista. I inserted the manifest files in the right
folders.
When I try to build MyPrj.exe, I get :
"Access denied C:\Program files\dBase\Plus\MyRep\MyPrj.exe"
I wonder how an access to a .EXE which doesn'exist can be denied.
Thanks in advance

Michel,

It sounds like you don't have sufficient rights to create files in the
folder where the .EXE is to be created. Which version of dBASE are you
using?

Michel,

I would check the user rights for that folder (C:\Program files\dBase
\Plus\MyRep\) and that the dBASE IDE has a manifest file.

If that looks OK, then maybe it is a DEP issue with this older version
of dBASE running on Vista. DEP is described at Ken Mayer's site and
Christopher Neumman has some suggestions for handling it at his web
site:

After having re-installed dBase, I succeed to buid The .EXE ! (under Vista)
I can't understand why...
Maybe the manifest files are more efficient when they are inserted in avance in
default folders before the installation of dBase as they were in my case...
Thanks Geoff for having kindly spent time to answer to me
