Highly unlikely. Simply extract metadata, use that script to create a db
on a machine with IB 6 installed, then use IBDataPump (or other such
utility) to move data across. That is the only safe way.

The problem might be that some of your metadata names are to long. In
IB6 they are restricted to 39 characters. Features not supported in IB6
like case etc. will also make the downgrade impossible.

Is it possible to backup an IB 2007 file and restore to IB 6 format?
I have tried with several different IBConsole versions but run into a
'String Truncated' error when rebuilding generators. It stops at different
generators on each restore attempt but in the same general area.
