IBConsole - restore failure

IBConsole - restore failure
Mon, 3 Mar 2008 21:55:35 -0500
Using IBConsole ver 7.5.16
IB 7.5
Vista and Windows 2003 Server (problem on both).

Database backed up with page size of 4096 and 36000 page buffers will fail
if the
IBConsole option 'commit after each table' is used.
Using a page size of 4096 and a page buffer of 20,000 works

The error is a disconnect from the database.

Any ideas / suggestions?

Tom,
First of all I wonder if this has something to do with the problem you
dropped recently in the InterBase General NG.
IB7.5 is not really supported on Vista nor is IBConsole 7.5.16.
You might try the latest beta release of IBConsole (8.1.0.270).
Does the error also occur if you use gbak with the -o switch?

Tried the same test on Windows 2003 server - same results.
However, will try version 8.1.0.270 of IBConsole to see if that acts any
differently.
Also, the gbak with the -o option.

Also, seems unusual that using either the 4096 or 8192 page size and 36000
page buffers and commit after each table fails,
Same database with page buffers set to 20,000, create a .gbk, then restore
using 4096 or 8192 page size and 20000 page buffers and commit after each
table
or not commit after each table both works ok.
