Brent,
Your guess is right. I still can not reproduce it. What ever I try even
using different OS I always get error messages on posting data that
violates constraints.

Hi Gelein
Still do not get post-errors when editing a table for eg fk or data
violations (such as check constraints or trigger exceptions) - simply cannot
post data change - nothing happens, and have to cancel changes without
knowing the exact cause. (As per msg in Ver 265 thread)
I gather this weird issue still cannot be reproduced?

Thanks Gelein
Have discovered that installing 270 to a separate folder works fine -
probably should have been doing this from the outset.
Using exactly the same files in the local \Interbase\bin folder (with
WI-V8.0.0.38) illicits the issue.

Actually, the issue seems to be a corrupted IBConsole.xml file. I have
created a new config and it works fine regardless of where I run IBC from.
If I restore the old xml file, I get the issue back...
I think it is an invalid/corrupted Server config entry - I am unable to
delete this server using IBC, and if I try connecting to it, it connects to
another defined server as though I had clicked that instead...
The failure of the exception prompts is certainly a rather obscure
symptom....
Thanks.
