Happy New Year, everyone. I go with Eddie's suggestion. I used the zip 
trick to move the installation from one XP to another XP and to Vista 
just after FP2 came out.

One gotcha is that the FP installer relies on components installed in 
the "Program Files" -> "common files" subtree in order to
run.

I expect that (having gone down the zip route) I will have some issues
applying FP3 or FP4 (however - FP2 is perfect, so I don't expect an 
FP3/4) ;-)
