Windows Media Centre

Does anyone know whether IIS can be installed on Windows Media Centre Edition
2005?

I'm in the market for a new PC and need IIS for obvious reasons. Ive done some
searching and the overwhelming response seems to be Yes, you can very easily
install IIS on Windows Media Centre.

However, after posing the same question to the sales team from which im planning
on buying the computer, they told me No, it cannot.

I have a feeling this is a dispicable ploy to get me to pay for the Windows Pro
upgrade.

Any help would be most appreciated.

XP Media Center Edition ships with IIS 5.1.  It is not installed by default
(Okay, depends on your vendor...) but you can add it from Add/Remove Programs
just like XP Pro.

Thanks very much jeff, that's as I suspected. That little rodent from the sales
team is going to get a piece of my mind, and most definately not a piece of my
commission.
