Is there a bug related to IIS basic authentication and Win XP where the
'remember password' feature doesnt work?

... and that would be XP having the problem, not IIS.

Thanks for the great answer.
Do you have any ideas as to why a web app that was performing IIS basic
authentication is not remembering the credentials anymore (it used to before
migrating to Win XP on the client - which may or may not be a factor in the
problem). This is happening even though the users are clicking on the 'remember
my password' checkbox in the prompted window.

Tom, even if it is Win XP having the problem.. do you have any clue as that to
what it could be? I dont really mind WHAT is having the problem, I just need to
get it fixed.
