detail portlet and naudit

Hi,

I am using detail portlet of user app3.5 and using this portlet i am
editing the users . I want to log the user (manager,admin) who is
editing the existing user through novell audit2.0 and also modify
timestamp.

help me....

It will take you through setting up the user Application for logging to 
Novell Audit.

In my scenario i have to modify the attributes like Title,employeeStatus
etc..

I want catch the novell audit event  information like which attribute
is being modified and who is Modified and the timestamp.

is there any way to do through detail portlet?

The Detail portlet is modifying the eDirectory objects using direct LDAP
calls. One way to track what you want is through sending eDirectory events
to the Audit server. Of course this will send all modifications, regardless
of where the change came from...

The best way to do what you want would be if the Detail porlet would log
its activity through the underlying logging mechanism in User Application,
but at this point I'm guessing this would require an ehnancement request...

If you reviewed the documentation link I sent, you would see that there 
are 2 events that it logs one for deletes of an entity the other for 
updates of an entity. So my guess is that it would log your changes as 
that would be an update.
