searchlist portlet sort field

searchlist portlet sort field
Wed, 14 May 2008 15:26:02 GMT
Hi,

in designer, I have created a new entity with attributes:

sn
givenname
title
company
..

in designer, on *'access' *properties of attribute, I set to true the
*'search'* property, then I deployed this new entity.

In IDM portal, I have created a new search page and insert into it the
new entity and its attributes.

When I run the search page, in the Category element, the attributes
list are unordered or I don't understand which is the order used from
it.

How can I fix the order of these attributes?

Many thanks
Gaetano

The order is dependent on how you entered the attributes initially, sort
of. To change it you need to edit the XML data, see the following post

Many thanks for your answer.

I have executed the change in xml from imanager and now i can vie the
correct order , but there is another bug:

if a DAL attribute:

1) is searchable
2) the control type property is DN
3) the attribute is the first attribute in the search.

When I run the page the control is viewed as string and not as DN.

Only If the attribute is not in the first position, on the search page,
then it is correctly loaded.

Is there a way to fix it?

Many thanks
Gaetano

Do you mean that if it is the first attribute in the result list it
displays as a DN not as a DN expression?

Hi,

the User application version is 3.5.

Do you mean that if it is the first attribute in the result list it
displays as a DN not as a DN expression?

In designer ,under *UI Control *the *control Type *is *DNLookup*.

If the attribute is in the first position in the "*Category element*"
as parameter to search, when I run the search page, *in term to seach*
field is not displayed the control as DN search, but as a string
search.

If, in *Expression *, I force a change then it is displayed as DN
control..

I hope to be clear

Many Thanks

Gaetano
