I am trying to install Interbase 2007 Server Trial and Interbase 2007
Developer to see if a number of programs can be compiled to work with
that version. I filled in the survey for both packages when they were
downloaded and received the serial numbers and keys. These I entered
into the License Manager and did the online registration. The
Development package registered just fine. The Server Trial would not
register. Then I tried using the register using e-mail. I entered the
registration number, received the e-mail message, and saved the
attachment. When I looked at the attachment it seemed strange that the
attachment contained the entire e-mail message including the text
portion but I saved the file into the license directory and tried
running the ibserver. In the log file it said the registration file was
invalid and a different registration number should be used. So I went
back to the web site, entered the different registration number,
received the e-mail, saved the attachment, put it in the license
directory and tried running ibserver. It did not like that one either.

Create a support case at support.codegear.com. It's the easiest way to
solve this problem. Creating a case is free and only takes a few moments
to do.
