What happens if you backup and restore the database under InterBase
2007?

So it's really just one database that does this? No other InterBase
databases do this?

IB 6 versions prior to 6.0.1.6 are pre-release and may corrupt

Okay, I suspect you have the wrong version of the library somewhere.
Check your DB express driver version, as well as the IB client version.
You might want to search your entire filesystem for other versions of
the IB client, and remove anything which is incorrect, and which might
be found by RAD Studio. In RAD Studio, if you do Help, About, and click
Version Info, you'll see all DLLs loaded by the application, what
version they are, and nowhere on your filesystem they were found.

I have started working with Codegear RAD Studio 2007 Enterprise and
InterBase 2007
Interbase 2007 works as i can create databases etc and i am working daily
with tables, procedures, triggers etc. mainly through Interactive SQL.
On the other hand when working in RAD Studio, the Data Explorer displays
under dbExpress both Blackfish and Interbase plus the others. When trying to
activate a certain database in Interbase i keep getting the message:
Data Explorer
No metadata could be loaded for: Interbase
How can this be fixed

I followed your advice. Backup and Restore. It makes no difference.
The same message occurs.
Do you have any other ideas ?
