I need the ability to receive e-mail on port 110 and send with a different
domain. The info in the example is for illustration to demonstrate the
problem --
E-mail: me@domain.com
Incoming
Server Name: mail.domain.com port: 110
User Name: me
password: aa1122
Outgoing SMTP
Server Name: mail.secure.difficult.com port 465
user name: a15@difficult.com
Secure connection: SSL
password: xx9988
use name and password for security authentication
this type of configuration is NOT a problem with Thunderbird. However, my
brother, severely disabled, is using outlook express. His current location
takes him off of his ISPs network (roadrunner). Because RR will NOT accept a
connection on port 25 when NOT on their network AND because communication is
blocked to port 25 at RR by the ISP he is using, he cannot send mail. Since
he is NOT a customer of the ISP, he cannot connect either.
A POP3 e-mail account has been established and tested with OE that will work
with the security necessary.
I have not been able to figure out how to configure OE to allow two
completely different servers 1 domain to send and another domain to receive.
Assistance in resolving this issue would be appreciated so that outgoing
e-mail can be resumed.
Because he is familiar with OE, I don't want to move him to Thunderbird.
Thank you.
