Hi,
The fact that the browser is customized by Yahoo is probably irrelevant.

With the warning that a reset will delete autocomplete data, such as
passwords and you will have to reinstall browser add-ons, work through this
article:
936213- How to optimize or reset Internet Explorer 7:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/936213/en-us

What's the site? Is login required?

Hope this helps,
Don

I am trying to diagnose a problem one of my friends is having, accessing a
community web site reached by thousands of people every day

I have gone through virtually every security setting to no avail

His browser is Internet explorer 7 - but it is "Internet Explorer provided

by Yahoo" - he does not know how this got on his computer, but he uses
yahoo
for email

I have tried to revert to good, old MS IE, but it always reverts to this
"custom" browser

Can anyone help me rid ourselves of Yahoo's IE and get the "regular"
one
used by millions ?

Or am I barking up the wrong tree ?

Thanks in advance

Thanks, Don

Yes - it requires login - he puts in his ID and Password and "Page cannot
be
found"

Will work through the article

Thanks again
