Back Button Problem

Back Button Problem
Sat, 5 Apr 2008 23:30:59 -0400
I recently updated my Hosts File and ever since I did IE7 slowed down
considerably and on certain websites I have to click the Back Button twice.
Also, many times when I first start IE7 my Homepage does not come up, I have
to click the Homepage button for it to load. I have a triple boot with XP
Pro, XP Pro, and Vista Ultimate, all 32 bit. I updated the Hosts File on all
three but I only have this problem on the XP partitions. I also have Spyware
Blaster and Spybot installed on all three. All comments and suggestions
appreciated.

Thanks

How did you "update your hosts file"?

I updated it through mvps.org. The page that the link you gave me directed
me to.

And did the link I referenced help?

<QP>
To resolve this issue (manually)...Start | Run (type) "services.msc"
(no
quotes) | Scroll down to "DNS Client", Right-click and select:
Properties |
Click the drop-down arrow for "Startup type" | Select: Manual, or
Disabled
(recommended) click Apply/Ok and restart.
</QP>

Why did you begin a new thread in IE General about these same problems?
