Chong,
We have not seen this issue before. JVMPI is not part of the Java standard (it's
a proprietary API developed by Sun and IBM) and the specifications are
incomplete and ambiguous. We do provide JVMPI as part of current JRockit
releases, and it is supported by BEA. But due to the lack of a complete
specification there may be remaining issues.
I agree with the recommendation that you should move towards JVMTI, which *is*
part of the Java SE specification. JVMPI is deprecated as of Java 5.0 and will
be removed completely in a future version of JRockit.
Short-term, your best option is to pursue this through BEA Support. If you can
provide a standalone reproducer for the issue then we can analyze the issue and
fix it in JRockit (if it turns out to be a JVM bug).
