Glad you asked about the developers.

I got on the #kubuntu channel and said essentially the same thing I said
here, their response was not what I wanted but understandable.  They
said, "We are working on the desktop, you need to talk to the kernel
folks."  Made sense, so I logged onto the kernel developer's channel and
explained my issue.  You will never believe their response, and I
quote, "Well, run PCLinuxOS then."  )Before you ask, I am not
embelishing
in anyway, in fact I may have toned it down a bit.)

I thought the reply was rather, "enlightening."

So, I think I will take their advice.  :-)

I did findout from the Desktop folks that the "nidswrapper" is on the
CD,
just not installed.  (Does that make any kind of sense?)
