Seems like I already have a Gentoo CD; as I recall, it loaded the
support files for other languages and fonts I'll never use. The LFS
info looks out of date; he says he used kernel 2.0...

Slackware 11 listed dozens of kernels, but without much info on why
they all exist. Seems like all the distro install disks also copy
extensive databases of all the printers, video cards, and monitors.
Suse, Mandriva, Kubuntu, et al dont have, or dont put XF86Config,
fdisk, or Cfdisk where I can find them anymore either.

The sheer variety of distros is confusing. Sure there mite be some
setup the way I want, but trying them all is laborious. Given all the
variety, I thot there mite be a website that had a list of already
