Before LVM causes me too much hair loss, any suggestions of how to convert this
FDISK syntax to LVM?
FDISK /DELETE:ALL /DISK:1
TIA!

All right, maybe I just need to see some examples of scripting LVM in general. I
skipped ahead to the setup script... looks like the size is a required
parameter, and it will not accept a wild card of
some sort for "all free space" for the last partition I want to make?
I sense much Rexx required to screen scrape LVM /QUERY, math, etc... From the
scripting standpoint, FDISK is looking real cool all
of a sudden.

LVM is more of an art, than a science, it seems, but once you get used
to it, you won't want to go back. I haven't looked, lately, but there
may be some useful information at:

where there is a GREAT introduction to LVM, and it's concepts.
You may also find DFSEE to be a good tool for doing what you want to
do. It has a scripting feature that may do what you want:

Hope this helps...

Well, I know that from inside LVM.EXE in interactive mode, just scripting it
does not look exactly friendly. It looks like I will be doing lots of screen
scrapes to try to feel my way around the
system I am on... vs being able to simply direct it at "disk 1, do this
this this this..."

I don't see that this is part of eCS, and it looks to be $ware, thus I can not
assume that is present nor redistribute it myself. Thus "stuck" with
scripting LVM.EXE for now.

Did you try "help lvm" on command line?
All arguments are described in OS/2 command reference.
