When I run LVM I am getting a popup with a message "The following drive
number has incorrect partitioning information: 1" .
Now this system only has 1 drive, its a 80 Gig notebook.
How can I find and fix what ever is wrong with the Partitioning information.
At this point it will not let me create any new volumes in the free space.
TIA

I know that, but how do I correct the problem using DFSEE.

Nope,
The problem is with disk 1, the hard drive in the system. I can not create
any volumes or partitions in the free space entry on the Hard Drive. This is
not a MSD issue.

Do you have the line:
BASEDEV=USBMSD.ADD /FLOPPIES:0 /REMOVABLES:2
(with, or without, the parameters)??? For each REMOVABLE (defaults to
one, if you don't define it), you will get a line like that, because
there is a drive defined for each removable. LVM has a "problem" with
that, because there is no drive attached (therefore, no partition
information). I think you may also see that happen with PCMCIA devices
defined too, and, you could also see a grayed out floppy disk drive,
that is caused by /FLOPPIES:1 (the default, unless you have changed
it). It is not really a problem (the message is actually correct), and
simply hitting enter, for each message, will bypass them.
Hope this helps...
