Since I went to eCS 1.05 whenever I boot the boot process pauses at:
RUN=C:\OS2\EXTENDFS.EXE *
waiting for me to hit enter.
Needless to say, I have to be right there when it needs to be booted.
Is there a way to stop this? If I comment it out what issues could it
cause? I've looked but I can't seem to find any documentation on EXTENDFS
or LVMALERT (both programs were added at some point during maintenance
application), does anyone know where I can find that documentation?

'help extendfs' for the first. I think LVMALERT is a daemon that handles
bad block recovery.

I am not sure what LVMALERT does, or if you can REM that without
consequences.
EXTENDFS is used when you add a second partition to a JFS volume, but
they leave the program in CONFIG.SYS, and it runs every time. There is
no problem with REMing that, until you do add a second partition to a
JFS volume, then you either need to enable the line in CONFIG.SYS, or
you need to run the program manually, after rebooting.
I think I would be a little concerned, if that line is pausing, and
waiting for a response. Normally, it simply starts, determines that no
new partitions have been added to JFS volumes, then terminates. What
message does it display?
Hope this helps...
