I just tried this. I set up a text entry with 0.6 as the correct response. 
It accepts 0.6. I did not change any default settings at all in the text 
entry.

Equally, if I set the text entry to accept 0 (zero) this too works as 
expected.

I am setting the correct value by typing it into the icon title of the 
correct response.

Oh - did you type the 0.6 in the 'pattern' field? If so, change it to
"0.6" 
... include the quotes.
