Built in VisualStudio 2005 / Modified in Dreamweaver MX

I have created a small collection of web forms in asp.net using Visual Studio
2005. Everything works ok. However, I know need to have a colleague modify my
forms to add a template to the forms. She is using Dreamweaver MX. She opens up
the form in Dreamweaver to add the template section and it does not display
properly in the Dreamweaver window. Is there a compatability issue here? Does
this mean it can't be done this way? Unfortunately , getting them to convert to
Visual Studio won't happen.

VS does not add anything to HTML, so I guess this might me DW issue. I am not
sure if DW is able to display ASP.NET 2.0 templated controls...

Dreamweaver does not support .net 2.0 at all, nor have I seen any work being
done to add .net 2.0 support to DW. If they do you can be sure that it will be
for DW8 or later so don't hold your breath over that one. To be honest I don't
see the support being added on when there are free tools out there that support
it.


Have you looked into VWD to see if it will do what you need it to? Won't cost
you a penny to find out.
