Anti Alias Not Changing Text

I am on build 9.0.1.1213.  When i create text in say arial font, 14 size its 
not sharp at all.  I change the anti alias from smooth to crisp to stronge and 
there is no noticeable difference.   I created much larger text (say size 50) 
and the same thing happens.   I am using a trial version until my full version 
comes in the mail.

 Is this just a problem with Fireworks?  I thought i really found a good 
program to do web graphics.  I have been holding on to Livemotion for years and

thought this was it.  Help!

The only thing I can think of is if, somehow, you are using a limited palette 
and Fireworks can't produce the varied tones it needs to for the aliasing.

 Here's one I just did with Arial, size 14, with various anti-aliasing options:

 I see a difference in mine. I saved it as a Fireworks .png, but Photobucket 
seems to have flattened it.

 Also, sometimes you get better results if you make your text large (a factor 
of 2 or 4), export, import, and resize. In this image, compare the 18-point 
text with the 36-point text that was reduced by 50%:

Thanks for your answer.  I figured out one thing.  If I went to No Anti... it 
looked horrible!  But I right clicked and removed transformations and the text 
looked like the very text I am type now.   

 I do however have a issue with how Fireworks does Crisp, Strong and Smooth.  
It's not nearly as good as Livemotion which was at best a fraction of what 
Photoshop can do.   I think it should be atleast as good as Livemotion's if not

better.   I am working with a full color pallette btw.

 I do like the ability to rapidly do web graphics.

LiveMotion . .  sigh . . . I could do more in that app in 20 minutes 
than I can in three hours with Flash.
