| Gen_XXX font workaround for PDF?? |

I'm using MX and making PDF files by printing to Adobe PDF driver for Acrobat
Pro 8. Freehand embeds fonts but generates its own versions, calling them
Gen_fontname. This works Ok but does not allow me to use the touch up type tool
in Acrobat to fix typos etc. I cannot change the font in Acrobat, then edit
text either. I tried making a ps file and then distilling that but FH is
hanging up so I have a separate problem there. But anybody know of another
workaround? Is there a way to change the fonts in PDF? IF I do not embed them
is there a way to embed them later? Or can the embedded fonts be extracted and
installed on my system?

Have you tried exporting as an eps (under "setup" in the eps export
box, choose "include fonts in eps"), then distilling it?

Embedding fonts will create 'Gen' prefix to the font name. Exporting eps without
embedding will keep the font names intact but then Distiller has to have access
to the fonts.
I just can't figure out why FreeHand adds the Gen prefix.
